Come as you are.
Can you get me……
Run here
Fetch that
Now?
You are a compliant chappie
Always close at hand
To jump at each command
I love how you retrieve so well.
I love you with all my heart
I have dreamt of a man like you
You are everything I want in a man
Handy, at the ready, willing to please.
I will love you always
I’ll care for you in times of illness
I’ll nurse you on your deathbed
Just sign this waver of responsibility.
So my love I am yours
As you are mine in everyway.
Sorry about the attached strings
The knots, they are unbreakable.

Oh my what a vixen! Amusing and frightening at once haha
Just looking out for herself Yves. Thanks for the comment, strings attached always suggests a degree of manipulation. Good prompt.
It does I agree and thank you great entry!
Run don’t walk to the nearest exit!!! 😀
Thank you Lyn I think I took that exit some time ago.
Wow! I live where you went with this!
Oh sorry to hear that Cheryl-Lynn. I think. I undid my own knots in the end.
Ooops, I meant I “love” what you did with this. My phone has a mind of its own 😦
Oh my yes that makes better sense. Freudian slip?
haha, Freud is not my fan this week.
Not mine right either.
🙂 I love it when we are on the same page!
It’s a page I want to turn over right now.
Funny read but so cynical! I suppose it can go both ways for both sexes. Love the use of the term “chappy”! “You retrieve so well” makes me think of the lovely Golden Retriever dog. Maybe that’s the better match for people with stings attached?
I think you may be right Larry. There is a element of puppy in it all.
Always doing & never getting anything in return (not even a simple appreciation or thank you) can be quite a burden on the spirit.
What a relief when the strings finally give & one is set free!
Like a great weight lifted from your shoulders.
Really messes with a person’s head. I’m familiar with people like that. Good to get out, the earlier the better! Thanks, Michael.
You are welcome Mandy, thanks for your comment.
attatched strings are always a burden … any relationship without expectations is the best relationship!!
Thank Arushi I agree totally, they are the best and only kind.
Ahh, those strings attached, those attached strings. It’s best, if the attacher isn’t an expert in knot tying; then the attachee might be able to loosen those strings.
Good point phylor. The attachee should have a chance shouldn’t they.
I hope they have a chance too! Anyone is capable of being one or the other; I worry more about the fate of the attachee than what will happen to the attacher if the attachee makes a break for it!
Once hooked, hard to break free, relationships with stipulations hard to tackle. Good response to the prompt Michael.
Thank you Jenny, a good prompt to play with.
She has definitely taken the reins–er–strings–in this relationship!
I like to think that my husband (second, and, as far as I’m concerned, the last) stays with me because he wants to, not because of strings.
I stayed in my first marriage for quite some time because of strings.
I used the prompt to write a continuation of an ongoing story.
Thank you for your comment and I will go read your post soon. Good luck in your second marriage I hope it is everything you wish for.
