Poetry Prompt #1- Mood – Elation

projectfinal_sketch_valuerough

My afternoon began and ended on a high

I am elated, excited and so so happy.

What could have been an embarrassment

Developed into an experience beyond all measure.

It could not have happened without your help

That one thought, became our afternoon.

After a miserable morning

All seemed lost, hopeless even.

You enthused, encouraged, cheered

Supported my idea, watching it blossom

Before our eyes all possibilities explored

A climatic conclusion, surprised us all.

Now I am smiling, the smile of the contented

We searched, we supported, we took a chance

One that paid off, that left us satisfied,

For life is a delicious risk.
