100 Word Challenge Inhaled – The Princess

I inhaled in catching sight of you. I couldn’t believe it was you. We hadn’t seen each other in years and the change in you was amazing.

Before me stood a princess.

You had said you were into exercise as a healthy precaution against encroaching old age.

I’m not sure how long I held my breath. It was as if stuck in a time warp.

We fixed our gaze on each other and… you grinned, as did I. We embraced. We recalled the feel of each other.

It was as if we’d moved away only yesterday.

Nicely done. Wish exercise would turn me into a princess. But I suppose it’s all in the eye of the beholder. Seems like an old flame is rekindled.

So sweet… Isn’t that the dream of so many little girls, for someone to behold the princess within each one? Isn’t that the dream of the little girl within many women, for someone to behold the princess within each one of us? This was beautiful in its simplicity.

    God bless you,
    Cheryl
