I came with no great expectations
A hope there might be some interest in what I write
And so it began
A tentative story
A beginning
A like here, a like there
Soon followers,
Soon I was following.
I couldn’t believe my luck
To write and to be read is a wonderfully gratifying.
Then you appeared,
At first briefly,
Then I followed as your words engaged me
Then enthralled me
We challenged
We inquired
We wrote, we write.
You listen to my tales
My life like tangled fishing line
To unravel takes time
patience.
You have both.
You stayed with me in dark moments,
reached out
confided
encouraged
You have nurtured my soul
I am because you support me.
So often in your hands
I have been guided,
To try new ventures
Travel, explore not just my mind
But the world.
Our daily chats are invaluable
I love the words we exchange
I love the few words we have spoken.
We have laughed
cried
comforted
Played and listened.
You have nurtured me as a person,
How grateful I am.
