Poem 18

rb-woman-bed-alone-1-0809-de-medium_new

outside the dawn approaches.

beside me you lie,

I watch your breathing,

your body at rest.

your skin,soft in repose.

I am looking at you,

I marvel at you,
I lust after you,

I want you now

to awaken you

to take you in my hand,

to feel your lips, my neck, my all craves you.

I luxuriate, in your joyful intimate rhythms

the gentleness of your sexuality

takes me over,

embraces me,

holds me,

transfixed.

your strength,

your drive,

makes me whole.

I want you.

come my love.

come!

now!

Very good…..you have been writing about angry wives, loving wives, squawking birds and now this….bravo

    Oh – Wow!
Sensual with a touch of sizzle 🙂

    • Thank you RoSy, happy you got the sizzle bit. These efforts were fun to write, its about getting inside the characters head an imagining what they might think and feel. It’s a male perspective so I imagine the female perspective would vary slightly.

  3. Hmm perhaps I should write the female’s version. Nicely done, passionate with a ‘tinge’ of eroticism, Summers.

Oh. My. I haven’t read your writing beyond the last many months that I’ve been blogging. I decided to do an eeni-meenie-miney-moe and picked this. Dear me-what a thing to read right before bed. I would say the female version would be quite agreeable. Lol. I will probably have to read more.

  6. Hi Mandy, There was a time when I explored all sorts of aspects of life.
This poem comes from a time when i was exploring sexuality from both male and female perspectives. So long as it doesn’t keep you awake.
