Shiv sat back proud as punch and with every right to be so.
The hard work he’d put into his plants had paid off by being announced as the winner of Joy’s Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers Flower competition.
Little did the other competitors know that Shiv had used a secret ingredient in achieving his success. It was so secretive that no one, not even his closest family knew of it.
But right now, no one was asking questions as to how he achieved his success it was more a time of congratulations and wonder at the obvious green thumb Shiv appeared to possess.
Basking in the glory of the moment was a wonderful thing for him. He accepted the praise heaped upon him but did begin to wonder if he could sustain it all when a neighbour noticed the for-sale stickers on the back of his pots from Flowers Are Us, blooms guaranteed.

It is from an old cartoon…a catch phrase that the dog, Astro always says… to George Jetson (the dad on the show) when something goes amiss.
