‘I’m tired because I tire easily,’ she said flopping down in the chair.
‘You’ve had a big day.’
‘I have and I’m really tired.’
‘Cleaning does that to you.’
‘Well today it did.’
‘Could be you made a greater effort than normal.’
‘What’s that supposed to mean? I always make a big effort.’
‘I’m not saying you didn’t but maybe you are tired because today you worked harder than normal.’
‘Well I doubt you could be any authority on that. After all you sat on your bum all day watching the cricket.’
‘But I was at the ready for when you asked for my help.’
‘It’s never worth the effort. Boy cleaning only irritates me and you clean like a boy and you and your cleaning irritate me.’
‘So rightfully I stand back, kept out of your way and ever ready to jump in and fetch lift or carry at a moments notice.’
‘Well if that’s the case where is my coffee?’
‘What coffee?’
‘I asked you to have a coffee ready for when I finished.’
‘So you’re finished?’
‘Yes.’
‘Coffee coming up.’
‘I can hardly wait.’
‘You sit down and rest your tired old bones I’ll get the coffee and be right with you.’
‘So how’s that? Good coffee?’
‘Yes thank you. So what are you doing now?’
‘Resting, I’m tired out after a long day.’
‘Oh my goodness are you for real?’

Lol . . . men.
Cathy we do our best, just ask us….lol
I know. 🙂
You may have heard this quote attributed to George Carlin, goes something like this:
There’s only two things you need to know, women are crazy and men are stupid. And the reason women are crazy is because men are stupid.
I think it all boils down to the fact that men and women think differently. I don’t care what feminists say, we are different. But that isn’t a bad thing. 🙂
Ah yes…trouble is our stupidity often astounds me…..women’s craziness is more often practical thank goodness…..
I’ll tell my husband that I’m just being practical the next time he says I’m crazy. 🙂
Yes go for it Cathy, he’ll have to believe you for sure. That’s why we men are stupid you see we can so easily believe the ones we love..
I think that makes sense or am I just plain stupid…lol
It makes sense. 🙂
Have a good evening…😀
You also. 😊
LOL! Tired after sitting on his bum and watching cricket all day. 😀
It’s hard work Joy especially when your team is doing well worse if they are being beaten…lol
Hahahaha!
Ha! Making coffee is SUCH hard work.
Exhausting Linda, exhausting…..lol
😉
It’s good to have you back by the way. 🙂
I’m never far away…..hope you are doing ok tonight?
Exhausted, actually. I’m hoping to go to bed soon. Just waiting for the kids to settle.
Well I hope they do too, a mum needs not only her beauty sleep but her child free rest time…
Indeed. Thank you, Michael. 🙂
It’s been a long day… I made coffee and everything! 😉
All by yourself to. What an amazing woman you must be…..
Oh I’m pretty awesome all right. 😉
Yes I know and humble too…lol
Oh so very. 😉 hehe
Hmm! If he does all the cleaning, fetching and carrying, I wonder how tired he will be 😉
Oh I like how you think. Yes indeed he will be exhausted too exhausted to make coffee.
🙂
I’d be all tired out if I spent a day sitting on my bum watching cricket. But then, I would have to pay super-hard attention. And paying attention is exhausting.
Coffee making can be exhausting. ;]
It can be but getting your team a victory can be super exhausting.
She nods. “It is a very intense experience. Draining mentally and physically.”
Like you wouldn’t believe…
Yes, this kind of scenario is repeated in every continent… 🙂
It’s darned tiring watching cricket!
It certainly is Freya. We are playing New Zealand at present and it’s hard work.
My husband and I both do some of the housework and I am not into doing it very well. We both make a good cup of coffee though. 🙂
Team work Deborah produces great result. Thanks for stopping by.
My wife and I share the housework. I do what I’m good doing and she does what she is good doing. Seems to work.
Sounds a great arrangement John
*laughs* great story, Michael… I remember those kinds of days all too well 😉
Thank you Lori, those were the days my friend….
My pleasure, Michael and yes, indeed they were 🙂
