Steady, steady,
Hold it hold it
Move it a bit closer, closer!
NO! Too far!
Back, back, back.
Hold it, hold it
MUM?????
What?
Why are we doing this?
Just shut up, Let me concentrate
A bit more I need a bit more
You want a leg up mum?
No. Don’t be silly,
Be patient
It’s a tricky business.
Now what?
Can you move me in a bit?
That enough?
No! More!
Steady steady steady
Hold it hold it hold it
Mum?
What?
It’s a light bulb mum, a light bulb.
But I have to climb up on this chair
Let me do it mum.
I want it done today son,
Now give me a leg up.
One, two, thr……….(Thunk)
Mum?

The things mums do… The thunk says it all, very good Michael.
Thanks Jenny sometimes climbing above ones limits can end in pain.
I hear you loud and clear ..
Oops, did mum use the wrong chair? Lol Nice story, except for the thunk.
Thank you Jackie I think mum climbed above her limit.
ha ha! This reminds me of Tom, myself and an elderly neighbour trying to cut a bit branch off a tree outside our houses last night (it had been hit by a truck and was overhanging the road) it looked like a comedy scene and when the branch finally gave way it was with a big THUMP!
Lovely you could connect. Funny things happen don’t they.
okay, now let’s try that again. This time without the thunk 🙂
The thunk is the sound of a middle aged woman reaching above her limit. Thanks Lyn, have a good day.
Ahahaha…too funny. My grandmother would wait for my visit with a pile of linen to put up high high in the cabinet because I was taller than everyone in the females anyway.
Thank you Oliana, you are having a few giggles today aren’t you. That makes me happy.
I have had a migraine for most of the day and this fun reading has helped:) really! laughter releases those tight muscles we get in our face when we are in pain…so there you go, you are a healer!!
I have been called worse, glad I have been able to lessen the pain.
Ha! 😆
Thank you your laugh is worth a thousand words RoSy.
