Poem 120 – Chrysanthemum

chrysanthemum3

With a bunch in each hand

My annual pilgrimage

Not so far

Just down the road

Clear away the debris of the past year

Arrange my flowers

Fill the pots

Remember.

You are forever young

Spared the ravages of time

I wonder what you’d think?

If you could see me now.

A nice remembrance Michael. I think your mother would be proud of her son.

A proud mother she is Michael ~ The back story made me realize the significance of the annual pilgrimage ~

  6. Heartfelt, emotive words. When I read I can only picture your pilgrimage. I have yet to lose my mum or Pop as you know. My comments may seem trivial, as I truly do not know or understand the depth of grief and anguish that you and many must feel. She is proud, she hears and sees and she is happy where you are in your life. x
