So what do you think?
Its brilliant. Your best. What is it?
It’s a Beagle.
A Beagle you say?
Yes a Beagle.
It’s a lot different to the last beagle I saw.
I bet it is.
Our beagle was a dog called Atlas. Crazy dog, couldn’t sit still, hyper active, always on the go, hated being confined, when a storm would blow in he’d go berserk, whining and scratching at anything, ate like a horse but loveable all at the same time. Was never very interested in walking wanted to run everywhere and sniff all and anything.
Well this beagle is very different.
Well it hasn’t got four legs and I bet it doesn’t leave its business in the yard.
No, but it went where no man had been before?
Really?
Yes Mars.
Mars? As in the planet?
Yes.
Amazing.
It is isn’t it.
It truly is. And you made this?
Yes.
Even more amazing. So was it successful?
No, failed to make entry.
Oh dear!
Just went up in smoke.
All that work for nothing.
Yes.
Maybe a beagle with four legs and a tail might be a safer option.
Yes. Pet shop?
Lets go.

Haha brilliant. I think really they should have called it bungle than beagle 😉 I love the conversation between the two. All matter of fact until the end. 😀
A slight error though, After “Well this Beagle is different though”, you put We instead of Well. I hope you don’t mind me saying
Thanks Al, point all and as many errors as you see. I think I need more than my own two eyes. Have a good evening.
You’re welcome. Have a good Monday
Thanks it’s looking good so far, beautiful day coming up.
Excellent. It’s dark here. But that could be because it’s still Sunday 😉
Looks like he fissed it! 🙂 tee hee….
Thank you Courtney, I think you may be right.
hehe 😀
RUN PUPPY RUN!!! The dialogue on this was brilliant. I could hear and see everything 🙂
Thanks Lyn, so happy you enjoyed this piece. Thanks for dropping by.
Wonderful dialogue, really funny.
Thank you Carol, hope you are well today.
Very well thank you, and yourself?
Very well, in beautiful Australia I am having a day, the first for a while, where it is not stinking hot. Very pleasant indeed.
Everything here in Britain seems to be underwater currently.
Well at present we have dry weather but as it’s also our cyclone season I imagine it will be raining very soon. Isn’t it always wet in Britain. I see your poor thrashed cricketers are heading home, sorry can’t help having a dig at you hapless Poms….but you’ll come good…..maybe one day…
I don’t really take much of an interest in cricket, but I’m sure the team will do better next year. Everyone is gearing up for six nations at the moment though.
It is actually Super Bowl Sunday here…though I’m not much into (American) Football. Just finished the half time show, which is nothing like the marching bands for College and High School teams.
Some of the commercials are cute. Like this, your story – pet shop indeed! How about the animal shelter 😉 We’ve had our fair share of ‘found hounds.’ Not one a beagle though.
Thanks for stopping ‘Through the Threshold’ ~ Jules
Thanks Jules good point about the animal shelter, must remember next time.
Just depends if you like a full bred, I guess. And like to pay extra. No worries. Once you get a pet though they can be as expensive as any family member.
Fur friendless at the moment. I just visit family that have ’em. 🙂
Lol very funny…loved the flow of the converstion and what a great ending! 🙂
Thanks Georgia, very happy your enjoyed this piece.
I had a beagle growing up they are such loving and affectionate dogs =) They are very active I used to play tracking games with mine I’d hide things for him to find he loved it
Thanks yves, yes you are right they do like tracking games….great sniffers them beagles.
What an interesting and yet again humorous story for the prompt, I would have had nothing, you did well mate
Thank you Jenny, imagination, it sometimes just goes crazy…..
that it does – now go to bed! 😉
Very amusing, and great dialogue! Hopefully the four-legged variety won’t go up in smoke.
Thanks for your comment, and one hopes not.
Ha, Ha, loved the conversation 🙂
Thanks Helen they are always fun to write.
I really liked this take on the prompt, particularly the way you wrapped it up.
