You are often with me
When I’m sitting in bed.
Our topics
The simpliest things.
The weather
Life
Kids
The why
The what fore.
Some days we argue
Points of ,
‘This isn’t clear.’
‘Rewrite’
‘Oh I see’.
Most days we laugh
Our colloquialisms
Our peculiar idiom
Our words on a page
Our connection.
Will we be so communicative
Face to face?
When you will see my eyes
My grimace
My hands at play
My laugh
My smile
Me.

Sounds like long distance love 🙂
Its a contemplation on meeting someone you have written to but never actually met. Its the dilemma I think we all face if the opportunity comes to meet up with another blogger.
I never actually thought about this. I’ve made many friends online, but didn’t consider that we may meet one day in person. I guess anything is a possibility 🙂
I am meeting two in the next fortnight….should be an interesting experience for all of us.
It sounds exciting, and you never know what may come of it 🙂 I wish you the best!
Thanks.
Reblogged this on Ēva PōeteX and commented:
For the next few days, I’ll just be doing reblogs of poems I find to be profound. I’ve been sick in bed and can’t gather up the energy to write much. What I like about this poem is the simplicity until the very end. “Rewrite
Oh I see”
That moment makes the whole poem.
Thank you Eva, I hope you are feeling better soon.
You’re welcome! I really enjoy your poetry. Thank you. 🙂
Thank you Eva, you are most welcome, and I am happy you enjoy my work.
I like where you went with this one, Summers. 😀
Thank you Linda, lovely as always to see you visiting me.
When meeting someone face to face after talking to them online is always a bit scary. I loved this poem though. Honest.
Thanks Jackie it is scary as there are no fences so to speak, you are there in the flesh, warts and all so to speak.
Best way to be no matter what Michael. Everyone has flaws and just remember, they are worried what you will think as well.
That is so true, but i will only ever meet up with people I have established some contact with over a long period of time, so we both have an idea of what we are letting ourselves in for….lol….but it should be fun.
Very cool!! 🙂 🙂
Thank you, we shall see soon enough..lol
Yep, I am sure we will get on famously and have a lovely time while you visit my town!! 🙂 🙂
I hope so too.
Great poem and best of luck on the coming meetings! There is no reason to be afraid.
Thanks Gabriella, I am looking forward t it I can assure you.
I have met two. One which you know, AnElephant, who is indeed my favourite pachyderm as he is as great in person as he is in net form. A definite nice guy, and Ute. I was nervous about meeting the pair of them. They are both really nice and I worried over nothing.
I don’t think you have anything to be worried about either. You will be fine 🙂
Thanks Al I hope to meet up with the elephant one day when I get myself OS. Some time in the coming year I hope.
🙂
Hope you get to feeling better soon. thanking for sharing with us things that touch you.
I am sure Eva is hoping to be better soon too. Thank you for reading my poem. Please call again.
I shall!
Oh how exciting! Trust your gut feeling. Over a period of time you just somehow know and operate on another level. Magic happens. Oh the wonders of cyberspace! 🙂
Thank you for your comment. All will be good. So looking forward to going away and exploring the minds of other bloggers.
I wish you well on your journey.
an interesting poem Michael, how easy it is to put feelings and thoughts on paper but possibly more difficult to speak face to face …and want to know something …I don’t bite 🙂
Neither do I. Its a reflection on the whole process, I don’t expect any issues, just putting words on a page, expressing what I would think are universal issues in such a circumstance having done so once before many years ago.
I know… and I understand
Totally love this and it can be related to many virtual friendships/relationships. Good luck on your meeting. I may meet one blogger on my trip to Toronto next week (oh this week in your territory)
Thanks Oliana, good luck with that, I am so looking forward to my trips away.
I cant wait to read your reaction to these meetings. Wishing you a restful holiday and a singular linking of the minds.
Thanks Lori I shall let you know how it all goes. Exciting times coming up.
