I played with you
tempted you
not up the garden path
but into the vastness of your intellect
willingly you played the game
added, not detracted
we created
we evolved
words that made sense
engaged us
for that is the nature of creativity
to challenge
to see what lies around the corner
the corners in your mind
marvellous worlds take shape
to thrill us with magic
that unfolds
to venture down the garden path
awaits a world of destruction.
to take your soul
to take your being
casting you into an abyss of uselessness.
be careful
do not venture too far,
there is a point of no return
with possibilities to hideous to contemplate.
we shall rejoice
in the world that is ours
loves who await us
journeys yet to be made
dinners to consume
a world to explore
for that is our future
that and much more
not the aimless banter of strangers
safe in their respective cocoons
tucked away in isolated havens
at opposite ends of the earth.
This poem is a collaboration with Jenny from ramblingsfromamum
I smile 🙂 and again 🙂 but please the essence of this was from you, not I, I just jiggled a little here & there. You ‘did good’ my friend 😀
Thanks Jenny, we both contributed, don’t be so bashful….
me bashful…o oh – ok a did a tiny wee bit iz all.
I was wondering why it read differently than your normal work, and when I got to the bottom and read “collaboration”, it all made sense. It is still you and yet there was something else that gave it a different flair, and that must be from ramblingsfromamum. This is an excellent collaboration. Thoroughly enjoyed. 🙂
Thank you Cubby a collaboration to ease a bored moment.Worked out ok. Thank you for reading and spotting the difference…lol…..a gold star coming your way!!
Wonderful collaboration!!!
Thank you Anja
Lovely! You two did a great job!
Thanks Gabriella, it was a fun one that worked out ok. Take care.
Wow, that is very deep and kind of wonderful and sinister and alluring and scary all at once! Wonderful collaboration!! 🙂 🙂
Thank you Helen, it was fun this time as we got the words to work and we agreed with each others suggestions, doesn’t always work that way but Jenny and I have tried a few and been successful.
A collaboration – wow – I can’t imagine how that would work? How did that work???
I really enjoyed it.
Sometimes with bloggers in the same time zone you can throw some lines at each other and this is what can happen. Basically I throw the lines at jenny and she puts he spin on them and we end up with some thing we both like. Not that hard really. It also helps to alleviate any bordom that may be occurring. Thanks Pooky have a good evening??
Okay – I’ve only just started writing poetry myself, the idea of collaborating with someone else terrifies me! It does sound like fun though.
A good evening yes, I have just started on the wine 😉
Enjoy, my day is just beginning…no wine just yet..
That kind of thing doesn’t usually stop me 😉 Where are you? I’m in London (sorry if we’ve previously had this conversation).
Australia.
I’m jealous!
Not for the past week we have had, with bushfires and hot days. Today looks very pleasant though.
You’re right. That doesn’t sound great. Are they under control now?
There is what is called a lull in the weather, next Tuesday may be another testing day.
I’ll think of you. We don’t hear much about it. Just imagine you all having barbecues and playing with kangaroos… x
The only Kangaroos I see are the dead ones along the road.
That made me want to weep a little. That is true of us and badgers. I’ve only once seen a wild one but I’ve seen many, many dead ones on the road.
Sad isn’t it. And the live ones you keep well away from.
Did you get an email from me during the week?
