I read another chapter
It’s a grind I have to say
Disappointing when her other novels
Have been gripping page-turners.
But I’m determined,
I know it will improve
Words are so much like that
Luring you in
Taking you places so often foreign.
I’ll give it another go later
I owe it to myself and the storyteller.

Sadly yes
I rarely have the stamina to keep on reading such a story.
I know the feeling, fortunately, it doesn’t happen often.
I started reading a John Grisham novel, got to the 3rd chapter and gave up. I decided to give it another go and read chapter 4, then 5, then 6. I’m glad I did – I’m actually enjoying it 😄
