When he fell in I was intrigued as to what I might find.
I knew what to expect.
Panic, fear, confusion, desperation.
I had plenty of those all around me.
This guy had a sense of consciousness, I could feel it as he initially struggled.
He knew he was lost so he set his mind to evaluating his life.
I enveloped him, allowed him to relax as he pondered his past and present.
There was no fear, but rather a calm acceptance came over him.
He’d been a good man, I embraced him as he sunk into my depths.

Beautiful.
Very affecting story.
This is a wonderful take on the prompt Michael.
Written from the viewpoint of the river! How clever. This is very good. ❤
This is great. Quite a different way of thinking about it. I enjoyed the point of view.
I see what you did there. Now that’s a river of life! (sort of)
