What do you See? May 21/2019 – The Puzzle

It was Maddie’s idea of a joke I am sure, knowing I was leaving and moving from work to retirement she must have thought of all the free time I might have.

She’d been a thoughtful girl, she was also a real livewire, a character in the classroom never backwards in telling me what she thought.

So my first week of freedom from the workplace I decided to throw my attention to the puzzle she had given me.

It wasn’t long before I was feeling there was something amiss about this puzzle.

There were pieces missing.

It was the grub I realised, it had eaten the leaf and therefore those pieces were not in the puzzle.

How fitting Maddie would have thought of me when she selected this gift.

Designed to drive me crazy, she had succeeded.

  1. Good story Michael, but how are you going to get back at Maddie.

I like the way you took this story. Perfect for the picture.

Nice one, Michael. And it does drive us crazy when a piece is missing. Though I also like the idea that when we find that piece (which the grub has eaten) might we, or the problem, then transform to a butterfly?
