Twittering Tale #67 – 16 January 2018 – “The Tree”

The tree is twisted and buckled like my family tree.
From convicts to doctors and lawyers.
You wonder the stories within it,
did they like coming to Australia, did the summer heat surprise them
was the temperate winter a reason for the long sea voyage?
So much to learn, no one to ask. (280 characters)

I love this Michael. I have old family photographs and no one to ask who the people are. I would love to know their stories! 😊

  2. Lyn's avatar Lyn says:

That is a ripper looking tree, Michael. Just perfect for climbing 😊

  3. Good story – I like the connection between the old tree, standing so long, and ancestors witnessed by the tree. Made me think about – as in ‘ you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone’ – not learning about family members til they’ve gone, with regret.
