Forward
She said the only way was forward.
“You can cry over spilt milk for only so long.”
I surveyed the wreck that was my life in that one moment.
“Gird your loins my darling, we are stepping out away from the mire you’ve been wallowing in.”
Taking her hand, along with the trust I felt in being with her, we hesitantly looked out the window.

Hey Michael, Namaste 🙂
Brave new beginnings, don’t you just love them!
I was swept up on the certainty of their forceful intention only to then hesitate before looking out of the window. I wonder what view might they now share together.
Love and Peace. Namaste 🙂

I think whatever the view, they have each other and will cope with whatever life throws at them.
I do hope so Michael, I always hope for a happy ending in all ways for always and always 🙂

Always good to have someone you trust to be with you and help you move forward. I hope they soon leave the window and head out the door for “he who hesitates is lost”. Thanks for sharing. I always look forward to your lines.
Thanks Patricia, I enjoy the challenge.
Excellent take on the prompt, Michael.
Thanks Eugenia, hope you have a good day.
