Word-High July: Amihan

july-21

In the heat of the afternoon

Standing on the headland

Taking in the northeasterly breeze

As it brushes across the ocean

Cooling, reviving, re-energizing.

Without it the oppression of the summer

Would be unbearable.

ooooh. yes. that is so right! what a wonderful way to bare this fact!

  2. There’s nothing quite like a cool breeze on these hot days. Have a blessed day.

  3. The words are as soothing as a cool, soft breeze… 🙂

I couldn’t agree with these words more. A little cool breeze makes all the difference on a hot summer day.

  5. David E. McClendon Sr. says:

Wow! With a heat index of 112, this one really hits home. We are sixty miles from the gulf coast with a 9 mile per hour wind blowing salt water in from the Gulf. Our breeze is sticky. Too hot our there right now.

  6. How I would like to have some of that oppression right now though!
