#Maydays Prompt – Good Madness

Today’s #maydays prompt include a dream, magic or good madness

I wandered in a haze for so long

My fantasies just that.

Illusions of a life unattainable,

Until you came along.

You with your unique magic

Entrancing me each day.

I ask: Are you real?

I poke your shoulder to remind myself

The dream is over, the reality here.

Maybe this is my madness

Believing in the magic

But I will as long as I last.

  1. Oliana says:

Wonderful, Michael, the magic is always there if you want to believe.

  2. mandibelle16 says:

Reminds me, like Thomas touching Jesus’s wounds from the cross, touching to assure ourselves it’s real. Same with your speaker poking his beloved. Even with the truth right infront of you, it’s hard not to doubt, to believe. I suppose it is one of the reasons touch is so powerful. Part of the magic your speaker has with his lover. Well written Michael.

    • Michael says:

Thank you Mandi, yes doubt is often at the forefront of our lives, but really its all about believing and trusting.

      • mandibelle16 says:

Yes, I do agree Michael. Only 3 days left for Maydays. I’ve enjoyed the prompts but I’m also glad 🙂

  3. You have found, it sounds, like a very good madness indeed. Hold on tight to the good madness. That’s more important than you may know.
