There’s talk of a twister

Yeah, yeah, yeah

There’s a twister around the corner

Panic, panic, panic

There’s a twister in our street

Fear, fear, fear

There’s a twister near our house

Brace, brace, brace

There’s a twister eating our house

Pray, pray, pray.

There’s a twister moving on

Spin, spin, spinning.

Daddy sits among the debris

Momma clutches Gran’s broken pot

Little brother wanders lost

Little sister weeps quietly

Shaken they survey the end of the world.

All too common in some of the more recent weather phenomenons across our country.
Not at all like Dorothy. We can’t just click our heels and return.
Sad. But there are many who step up to the plate to help. And for them we are thankful.

  2. mandy smith says:

I’m so glad I don’t live where there are twisters! 😦

  3. The repetition is very effective and the closing scene wow hits you in the stomach. The town my mom lives in was all but wiped out a few years ago, just destroyed many of the businesses. My mom had many friends who lost houses or had serious damage, she only had a few trees blow over but nothing serious. Sometimes on the news when i lived there we’d be told to hide in a cellar or brace ourselves.

  4. Luckily we live in a country where these do not happen on such a large scale. Good impact Michael…. Pardon the pun.
