Yesterday the miracle of life came into my world with the birth of my 7th grandchild, a little girl called Arria Pixie. Born to my second daughter, she is Shannon’s second child and only my second grand daughter.
She was 8lb/6oz at birth and 50.5 cm in length.
The photo above was taken a few hours after her arrival and she is still a little gucky but we assured her 7 year old brother his sister will scrub up just fine.
It is always a great relief to see a birth go well, we have a healthy child entering the world into the loving arms of parents who will I am sure raise her well and spoil her along the way.
All are doing well, even dad, for this is first child and I am told he acquitted himself very well in the execution of the new dad duties. We shall see how he goes with the sleepless nights to come though I do have to say my daughter was a wonderful baby compared to the nightmare that her older brother was.
So this gdad is feeling pretty good today.

Oh my!! Congratulations, Michael!! 7th grandchild and a big girl she is too!! My son (first born) was the 7th grandchild, born on the 7th of November. Um due to time difference would this mean she was born 6th or 7th of June? So happy for you and all the best for your family 🙂 Cheryl-Lynn
Thanks Cheryl-Lynn yes born 6/6 same date as my eldest daughters birthday. Now I won’t forget this child’s birthday.
Well there you go…it was planned by the universe:)
More like my daughters dr. Thanks again, have a good evening.

That’s great Brenda is it available yet?
Oh, I have to hook an interested publisher first. Still trying!
Well good luck with that it can be a frustrating exercise I think. Hope you have success soon.
Thanks! It is not a quick process!
So I believe. But if you don’t have a go you’ll never know.
Exactly my thought. 🙂
How wonderful, Michael. The only thing better than parenthood is grandparenthood!
So true Mandy and thank you so much for your best wishes.
My Congratulations Michael to you on becoming a Grandpa for the 7th time. Arria is beautiful and she will be another joy to treasure, spoil and love.
Thanks Jenny the spoiling and loving has already started.
Very cute little girl! Congratulations to the parents and grandad.
Thanks Gabriella. She is indeed, obviously gets it from her glad…..you think?
Congratulations lucky grand-da …! She is a doll! I love her name … and she does have a bit of Pixie in her, enchanting.
The Pixie is in memory of a favoured aunt on her dad’s side.
Lovlier still! I’ve never met anyone named Pixie …

May Arria have a life full of love, happiness & blessings.
LOL on the description of gucky.
My brother said that my sister was ugly & that she looked like a monkey when he first saw her.
Here’s the beginning of that story…
