Poem 6

whately

As I walked in the fields

I stopped by a hedge

In the hedge was a small nest

In the nest was even smaller fledgling.

Before me was new life, precious, unique.

I may never see this again,

I shall treasure the moment.

Be thankful to the fates,

Who drew me to this place.

My thanks to Marya from Arkadia blog for allowing me to use her photo in this poem.

  1. life always seems to “happen” when we go for a walk

awwww too sweet. In the beginning it made me think of a song. Can’t think of the name but it goes something like…..theres a hole in the ground, tree in the hole….its a long song and finally the green grass grows all around, all around. And the green grass grows all around.

  3. capture the moments though they may be small, for we may never get the chance to see them at all. Lovely Summer.
