There’s the thing about time. It keeps on, you can’t replay the past.
I find it irritating that it ticks away oblivious to how I feel and what effect it is having on me.
It is the joke of the universe. Time moves in one direction only and you either keep up or you fall behind and that has dire consequences.
I saw a joke the other day where God announces that he has created equal parts of light and dark. The angel at his side asks, “What are you going to do now?” God says: Call it a day.
On the one hand, it is irritating but also time is there to amuse us.
Its racing past us, as we age we begin to realise how quickly it passes us. It creates a reality for us where the signs of its effect are visible to us, staring us in the face, so to speak.

“Time is an illusion…lunchtime doubly so.” If I remember rightly, Dr Who said that 😁 Another thing I’ve noticed is, the older you get the faster the time goes.
It’s flying by isn’t it
Oh boy… it sure is 🥴
Retirement has meant that time moves in strange ways for me. Time does literally stare at us in the face,
Thanks, some adjust to it, some struggle with their loss of identity. Next year will be my 10th year, I’m feeling quite comfortable.
I am OK with retirement, It’s the world I am feeling strange in. 3 years for me.
Yes I understand that
Isn’t that the truth. Time passes more quickly as we age.
Doesn’t it
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Love it
Thanks so much
The passage of time stares at us every time we pass a mirror, true. Yet the mind travels back at lightning speed to years and years ago 😊😊😊
So true. I can remember a time when my family was referred to as the remember when family. We recalled so much of our past.
It’s good to recall and pass our stories onto our children. They shouldn’t learn of the past from history books and directors’ message-heavy narratives
