When She Rang – A Poem with a Touch of Wisdom.

When she rang she asked if the wedding was over

Yes I said.

Did you or are on a honeymoon?

Yes I said.

Did you fail in the bedroom she asked?

Yes I did.

Told you, didn’t I.

Yes you did.

She must be regretting ever meeting you I bet.

It hasn’t come up conversation.

She will you know, ridicule you.

She hasn’t mentioned it.

As if you’d tell me.

We’ve concentrated on more useful thing.

Such as?

Love, tolerance, acceptance.

Don’t make me laugh, if you’re poor root it won’t last long.

We shall see. We’ve talked about potential.

Well, I’m sure you have some, somewhere.

We are in tune with each other. We get each other.

She’ll run off soon.

I don’t think so. Connection is more than sex.

I’ll give you a month.

Don’t be disappointed. We’ve become good friends.

I’ll give you a month.

Friends who like being with each other.

Six weeks.

We like very much being friends.

I’ll be watching.

You best get comfortable, or better yet, go away.
