Tell me how you feel.”
I want to say I love you
But is that enough?
What part of me is within those words?
Several drafts lay upon the floor
Each attempt laced with frustration
As I struggle to write the words
Words that are within me
But cannot be expressed.
In the end, I am who I am
Hopelessly in love with you
And so, I guess that will have to do.

I get what you mean. A most difficult emotion to express… and so the reason so many poems have been written and songs sung. How to say what you feel in those three silly words
It’s always a challenge isn’t it.
And to say, I love you as if you were myself, is no good if you don’t love yourself 🙂
