Photo Challenge #276 – A Perfect Park

It appeared from above, an amazing feat of parking.

Nestled snuggly between the trees

As if dropped strategically into place.

The vegetation had stepped back, swaying out of the way

Making a space, welcoming it to earth.

But from ground level, it was a different story

The plane’s canopy was intact,

Creating an illusion of all being well

The undercarriage though was spread throughout the forest

Littering the landscape with metal and people bits

No chance of survival,

Some still strapped in their seats.

All that was left to do was gather up the pieces.

I shouldn’t say this, but my most liked line is:
Littering the landscape with metal and people bits

This is pretty awful for those in the plane. Great story.

  4. Another good story for the prompt Michael.
