Wordle #145 – A Load of Hogwash.

word-art

This week’s words: Separation  Wiggle  Wash  Surveillance Grudge  Feral  Chills Wedge  Gurgling  Upcoming  Hogwash Enforce

“What a load of hogwash,” shouted the detective surveying the scene.

It was clear the surveillance of the crime scene had been a futile process. The detective was a man who harboured a grudge and was determined to enforce his opinion onto everyone around him.

His actions drove a wedge between the officers concerned many of whom wanted to wash their hands of any responsibility. The upcoming trial gave them very little wiggle room and they needed to finalise findings in quick time.

It was a matter of fact, the body found had been separated from its head which sent chills down the spines of the collective officers.

They had been sent to investigate the sighting of a head in the gurgling creek behind the feral cat reserve and none of them looked forward to that.

Feral cats were nasty, and gurgling creek or not they feared for their lives more so than they did the feral actions of the detective and all the hogwash he sprouted from one moment to another.

Impressed with your use of the prompt words, and with your story. Not the best of detectives if he starts from a position of prejudice,

  2. A lovely story Michael, nice writing.
