She travelled expectant he would show.
Giddy with anticipation
She looked for the pink cravat, his telltale sign.
She remembered their correspondence, his wit and funny idiosyncrasies.
Around her people came and went.
Along the bar was a pink cravat.
Devastated she knew what it meant. (279 characters)
