Hurry
The writing was on the wall, I was late, oh so very late.
I needed to hurry to meet the deadline.
I rushed here and there, getting in the way, irritating those around me.
There was a light at the end of the tunnel.
At days end, exhausted, I placed my entry in the bosses inbox, the effort worthwhile.

Guess all the hurry was worth the exhaustion if the deadline was met and the job kept. I used to hate having to hurry at work it never really ended well. Thanks for sharing your story.
