Same Same But Different

- resolution
- hope
They assembled as faithfully as ever to celebrate the arrival of the next twelve months. It was farewell to the old and despite the traumas of the previous twelve months they had all resolved to make the next year a better one.
There was an expectation that the fireworks would herald the bringing in of a year that had to be better than the previous one.

I love the sentence: “There was an expectation that the fireworks would herald the bringing in of a year that had to be better than the previous one.”
This is a hope I myself hold! Great post Michael. Happy new year to you! May 2018 be a happy and healthy one
Thanks Sarah, best wishes to you too.
Guess you’re celebrating the new year long before I am on this side of the world. 20 years ago I was in Sydney for New Year’s Eve. Gosh, can’t believe it has been so long. Happy New Year!!
Its getting closer I have to say…3pm New Years Eve, soon the fireworks will sound out. You have a great 2018.
Thanks. I think I’ll be sleeping… or just waking up when you ring in the new year. Hope it starts off right!
You’re into 2018 already now Michael. We’ve got 10 hours to go. 🙂
Happy new year it’s 1am 2018
Yay!
