In Other Words, wrapping…

in-other-words1

Write a story or poem of 5 Lines or Less using the word wrapping.

Each present was wrapped as more a work of art than a gift.

The children gathered in front of the tree looking earnestly at the tags for their names.

Their parents sipped on beer and wine catching up with their own stories of Christmas chaos.

When the time came and names were called there was a sense of meticulous unwrapping.

An hour later the tree was bare, the children outside playing and the wrapping awaiting the re-cycling bin.

A lot of effort is put into wrapping gifts and in minutes it’s trash. But it is part of the fun of Christmas. I think this story is one taken from real life. Thanks for sharing it.

  3. Bittersweet, Michael. I think you nailed it.
