Saturday Mix – Same Same But Different, 2 December 2017

Same Same But Different
Your ‘Same Same But Different’ task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in your writing. That’s right, you need to dig out your thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead.

Your words are:

  1. meet
  2. look
  3. annoy
  4. draw
  5. fly

The gathering took place and we could see that many were irritated because the restrictions placed upon each participant in that they could not use their favourite coloured pencils to scribble but rather the cumbersome paint brushes insisted on by the convener.

“How am I expected to soar like an eagle when I am surrounded by turkeys,” muttered one disgruntled member.

It was just one encounter we all saw reason to be angry about but it was decided not to allow it to dampen our day when we all that reason to produce our renderings in the most positive light.

By days end the flag of success fluttered joyfully upon our collective artistic efforts.
