Writespiration #143 52 Weeks in 52 Words Week 48

write a story including these words:

jugs, bamboo, nostril and frozen.

In a clearing in the bamboo forest sat a small man selling bamboo jugs. He looked frozen as he had icicles hanging from his nostrils. I bought two jugs, his frozen hands gladly took my money then wiped each nostril with his sleeve. I found the crunching sound of his wiping unnerving.

  1. Ritu says:

Why was he so cold??? Xxx

    • Michael says:

I was once in a Japanese bamboo forest, and it was cold…

      • Ritu says:

Ahhh, the only experience I have is of the huge bamboo tree we had in our family garden in Kenya… it was never cold there!

      • Michael says:

No I hear its more warm there than cold….
Hope you have a good day….whenever it arrives…

      • Ritu says:

The weather is lovely there, I used to spend summers there… my parents were both born there, so when my brother and I were young, we were taken back lots to keep links with the family alive!
It is definitely night here… so I’ll take your wish and hope it gives me a good night’s sleep! Thanks Michael!
        You have a great day!

  2. Lyn says:

Ouch! I should imagine that would be slightly painful. Poor guy, he should visit the Jigokudani monkey park and warm up a bit.
