Flash Fiction Rodeo Contest #1

When I grow up. Cast yourself back to six years of age, knowing what you do of life in the present; what would you want to be when you grow up and how would you go about achieving that goal? Tell us in 100 words, no more no less. It can be real or imaginary, serious or light-hearted. Extra points for comparing it to your childhood choice, if you remember it.

Everything when I was six was an adventure. Even though I lived in a sheltered world my own backyard and that of my neighbours held spellbinding moments where so much of nature was explained to me. I dreamed of being an explorer, I figured there was so much to discover it would be a life time’s work. To achieve that I was introduced to books and the library where my inquisitive mind received so many answers. It would be nothing for me to look through National Geographic magazines to discover the world. I’ve maintained my interest even to this day.
