100 Word Wednesday: Week 36 – When Patience Wears Thin.

They weren’t sure why they were there, but they had been there a long time. Patience and resilience were wearing thin.

Their minds had begun to wander, and many were losing focus on the task at hand. Trouble was they didn’t know what the task was other than standing around.

A shot rang out, and the guys up the line cheered. Barney had shot at a squirrel across the road. Bets were being placed, and the photographers were snapping the action.

A siren was then heard, a red car with state flags approached the men, they fired at will.
