June 1, 2017, prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less) write a story about feeling content. Explore what is contentment and any direction will do. Go where the prompt leads.
She watched him breathing deeply, the look on his face told her so much but she wanted to hear what he might say.
“So how are you feeling?”
“Very contented,” he replied in between breaths.
“So, what does that mean?
He waited a few minutes before replying. “I feel loved like never before, you have accepted me with all my flaws, and despite that, we get along so well.”
“You are worth it babe,” she said kissing him lightly on the cheek.
“You make me feel so good about myself.”
“It’s what happens when both of us are contented.”

Superrr …. There are two sides to every coin 🙂
Thanks Reena and you are right there always are two sides…thanks for stopping by..
Lovely – just as it should be 🙂
Thank you Lyn
Pretty sure this is my boyfriend’s dream conversation
Too idealistic you think?
Maybe not for some people. I apparently need to give him more words affirming my happiness according to him
Guys like being reassured don’t they that all is not in vain
I told him I’d work on it. That was 2 days ago… It’s what your story made me think of
Stress can do that to you….sometimes you have to sit back and not force the words to come out….sometimes they return and away you go…or like for this week I have found myself getting caught up in the Tale weaver and have written 4 parts which is a tad self-indulgent I know but the story matter has me intrigued and who an I to stop all that…:)
I look forward to hearing how you got on with him…lol
Well… Truth is… It seems I’ve lost my words. I think it’s stress. Can’t find time to write and when I do, I can’t put the words together as well as I used to. I probably am not as verbally appealing as I once was either.
Sounds like you have two happy people there. Nice state to be in.
I think so Irene, thanks for stopping by.
It is bliss when both sides are contented. Accepting the flaws and taking them in the stride of life is maturity.
It is indeed…
Lovely flash!
Thank you so much susan..
The best contentment is that which is shared! Great expression of the prompt. Michael.
Thanks Charli have a good day.
