I carried it around the world, through every customs place imaginable, and as fate would have it, I dropped it out of the box at home. Ugh!

Oh my! What a shame! Time for another world tour to acquire some more glassware.
I know someone to whom this actually happened….bought glasses in Czech Republic, carried them home carefully, opened the box when they arrived home, dropped one…
Oh no — they must have felt awful. An excuse to return to the Czech Republic?
Long way from down here…..it is somewhere I’d like to visit one day..
Wasn’t sure if it was part of your world tour a few years ago.
No this wasn’t something that happened to me…I did buy small glass trinkets of the ear ring kind that I came home with all intact…
Glass earring trinkets make for nice souvenirs/gifts — easy to wrap and keep intact. Smart move.
That was my thinking
Oh, and happy International Woman’s Day down under.
There are several kinds of protests this year. Work without women day. Don’t spend your money unless it’s at a woman-owned/operated business, etc.
I’ll keep all that in mind
I’m sure you will. Is it much of a to do in Australia? I know lots of special protests in the US (as I short-handed) due to the political climate right now.
I think there is a protest/rally in Sydney today
great twittering tale …. happens to many a well-intentioned traveler and person ….
