There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
She has endured her self imposed exile though to me it was more a form of prison sentence.
In order to find herself she had gone away to be by herself to find out what the world would like without me or anyone else impinging on her.
I could understand where she was coming from as she had suffered so much in her life and had become very co-dependent in her relationships and now was the time for her to find out if any of her present action was going to allow her to find a peace within herself where being on her own would not be a terrifying and as troubling as she imagined.
For me it was agony. We had tried before and failed but this time she had an ally, a neighbour who would be there for her during this time. It was time for me to step back and allow her to find out if this was something she could embrace.
It wasn’t a goodbye as such, but rather allowing her the space she needed to think about her life without having to deal with the likes of me on a daily basis.
Our agreed on day of contact is fast approaching and I look forward to hearing from her as I sense the light at the end of the tunnel, that moment of gold for us, getting a bit closer.
