Please forgive me if I’m not remembering correctly, Michael, but this is the recording you mentioned to me in the email?? IT’s AWESOME!
You have a great reading voice – and I love accents, so I think this is totally cool. And the story is just perfect – an awesome fit.
And a suggestion? You should read/record more of your serials. And just to let people know what’s what, you should add a post blurb telling people that you’ve made a recording!
Wow – totally wonderful 🙂 And delightful to hear your voice 😀
This is my second one Pat, I tried it out on a Friday Music prompt last week. I like the idea that you can add another dimension to the story through the reading. Glad you could understand me….not all Canadians can for some reason….and I have to speak slowly so you can understand as I’ve learned that lesson from a few folk trying to understand my Aussie accent.
Thanks for the advice and having the time to listen…
it was my pleasure 😀
I think you should consider recording more of your material. Practice for you — things sound different out loud, as some argue poetry should always be. And soon, your friends will grow to understand your spoken and written voice.
It does add a dimension — a sense of there truly is a romantic poet named Michael. I think that’s important, but whadda I know, lol.
Thank you for that vote of confidence. I’ll see what I can do.
Seems you have a new career = poetry reader and story teller in your own voice. I like to listen as I read you various projects. And you don’t sound a bit like Crocodile Dundee, Mel Gibson, and lets see Nicole Kidman? lol
I do not have a good voice — so folks are safe from hearing an MartimeCanamerican accent. Why I don’t sing out loud often.
Great idea, anyway, and “sounds” popular.
I’m using my best voice, can’t sound too ocher can I? If I did you may not understand a word I say…
There are parts of North America you would say “saywhatmate?” Even North Americans have trouble with other North Americans!
Never saw phrase “too ocher” very nice — I assume it means sound Aussie?
PS: I do read along — just in case there is a misunderstanding, lol.
Yes you are right too ocher is too Aussie….you’re catching on…..anywayhavagoodweekend.
Probably safe to read along, you could get lost in my dulcet tones.
That I could, kind sir. Can’t have that . . .
That’s right you end up in Tasmania….
Seems to be I’ve been referred to as a Tasmanian Devil (real and cartoon), plus could have relatives there. Might be a pleasant vacation.
After I listen to you next dulcet toned piece, I’ll send a postcard from Tasmania.
