Out walking with my companion
We came across a man on a bus stop.
Said man on bus stop stops us
Asks me a most unsavoury question.
Can he perform a lewd act upon my person?
I am momentarily taken aback.
I ask him what day it is.
He says Thursday looking mistakenly expectant.
I say: I am sorry but I do not perform
Said lewd acts of a Thursday.
Said man then looks to my companion.
Companion says: You heard him
He doesn’t perform lewd acts of a Thursday.
We walk off smug in how we handled
Said man on bus stop.

LOL! Is this true? I hope not!! haha!
Sadly yes.
Oh no!! LOL!! At least you had a good comeback. Hahaha!
Yes though I wish the comeback was mine it was actually said to a kid by a friend of mine who is the Principal there, can you believe it…
Oh my gosh! Said by a kid! Good thing he had a good comeback! Sad as it is that he had to!
😄 nice !
I am hoping your “nice’ is laced with appropriate amounts of sarcasm…
omg Michael! that is hysterical! I can just imagine the man’s face when you said that! You gave me a much needed chuckle this morning. Thank you! and thank you for linking up to Hump Day Poetry 🙂
Thank you Lori, my pleasure.
Most welcome, Michael 🙂
Oh nasty situation, all around …. clearly …. for you …. and for the kid who also faced some similar situation. How awful. But you’ve managed to spin the poem that highlights this perverted circumstance with at least a touch of humor and dignity.
