Take a break
STOP!
Step away.
Your lifestyle has made you fraught.
I watch as you struggle
There’s so much to do
So many places to go
People to meet and greet.
You can only stretch yourself
In so many ways.
It is time to cease arguing.
Do you know why?
Can it be the sound of your own voice?
Is that what you want to hear?
When the rest of us
Crave silence.
This hiatus is a time to
Reinvigorate, rejuvenate, recycle
Yourself and us.
Give yourself time to reflect
What are you on about?
Where do you want to go?
Who do you want to be?
Do you want me along side you?
My hand extends to you.
I wait patiently.

A great take on hiatus it can be a positive thing x
Well, I had a forced couple days off–not restful, since I was cleaning house like a madwoman; and will have to take the same “hiatus” in mid August. Why IS it so hard to just take a real break and relax, when we need to? The world will not stop spinning if this poet “goes away” for however long–I tell myself; but I miss everyone, even while I’m busy….
I know what you mean, maybe like so many of us Dell you are addicted???
Totally Addicted–practically get the DT’s (which I realize is not humorous for true addicts). I have no OFF switch, so it takes something going on in “real life” to make me Pause….
