I held you in my hand
Felt the passing of an age.
Closed.
Sheltered
Alone.
Footsteps upon a far off shore
Could they have been yours?
A lover
Desolate
In despair?
A microcosm captured forever
A story waiting to be told
Speculate
Query
Wonder.

Nice words, fits the picture quite well I thought. Well done Michael
Thanks Jackie, it was a challenging task.
Beautiful picture and poem. 🙂
Thank you Louise for stopping by.
This is gorgeous Michael =)
Thank you so much Yves.
That’s a great picture to write to. Your words work well, Michael 🙂
Thank you Lyn, glad you thought so. Hope you are doing well tonight.
Felling great thanks. Had some nice crispy skinned Barramundi with sweet potato and carrot mash and steamed whole green beans for dinner 🙂
My you do live the high life Lyn. Sounds good. I made Thai chicken.
I love Thai food. My kids took me to a Thai restaurant for my birthday in January 🙂 Amazing food!
I make a good one I can tell you…..even my kids like it….
Any chance of a copy of the recipe, or is it a deep, dark family secret ?
No worries I’ll send it down the line, very easy one….has to be for me to make it….
Got it. Thanks, Michael 🙂
All those things and more…
Each drop even if briefly captured, equally mystifies –
including the soft coo of mourning doves 🙂
Thanks Jules and indeed soft cooing included…
A lovely poem, so expressive. I love the way you link it all to a little microcosm.
Thank you so much Millie. Hope you are having a good day.
This is really lovely, Michael!
Thanks so much Cheryl-Lynn…..looking at yours now.
Beautifully written, but I was distracted by the conversation between you and Lyn lol
I like the way you ended the poem with a few one word lines. Somehow it added to the mystery of the upside down marble image. Query, especially.
