I see you all around me
The winter snow never chills me
As once it did.
You take me into your arms
Guarding against the cold
You are shelter and nurture.
I see you all around me
In summers heat
Along a sweeping beach,
As water swirls
Around your ankles
You cry in delight at
The unsuspecting cold.

Lovley, Michael,I want what she has…it’s cold here!
You’d have to be able to squeal with delight.
I can do that! I have practiced!!
Are well you are half way there.
Nice one Michael.
Thank you Jackie.
When I don’t jump out of the way of a cold Atlantic wave and it wraps itself around my ankles, my squeal/scream is not one of delight!
Lovely poem.
I would not expect it to be.
You are shelter and nurture…. that is a lovely feeling. I’m blessed to have that as well.
Thanks Debi, appreciate your comment and seeing you stop by.
Nurturing feeling, very sensual piece, like it.
