I look at you and see
Distressed, perplexed,
Emotionally challenged
Communication zeroed out.
Your trials and tribulations
Multiply and divide
Depending on latitude and longitude
Torments, woes and trauma
Meticulously and punctiliously
Planned with breathtaking rigor.
Fuss pot my mother once called you
Excuse her crassness
She could never appreciate
Your fastidious eye for identifying
The essence of any god given moment.
Playing out in your head
Each neuron interplaying
Conjuring newer
Fantastical
Escapism
Perpetual motion you once said
Was the sempiternal
Epitome
Of all being.
Flabbergasted
Exasperated
I advance
Your dulcet tones
Imbued forever
On my psyche.

Ha.. Yes some people manage to cause commotion with just the right words.
Thanks Bjorn, it was a fun composition.
“the sempiternal epitome of all being …” that had me scrabbling for the dictionary.
Ah yes not a word one uses every day Tony, but useful today. Thanks for the comment.
this is a very emotional business world that you paint.
focused implementation
Thank you so much, I think….
Oh, you used some big words today Michael! LOL Good piece, though.
Big words and a big poem Jackie, thanks for your comment.
Such an emotional piece and some very strong words. 🙂 Great poem.
Thanks so much Charlie, appreciate your comment.
She is the Muse, & you are other directed, being forced to defend your lover’s eccentricities to both your mother & the world at large; quite the ride; nice take on the prompt.
Thank you Glenn I appreciate your reading and comment.
The perpetual motion section did have an erotic impact on me; reminds me of what Woody Allen said when told his ex-wife had received a traffic ticket. “I’ll you this,” he said, “It wasn’t a moving
violation.”
An interesting response to that bit, hadn’t thought of that but I can see where you are coming from. Thanks again.
“Fuss pot” brings the supercilious vocabulary down to earth for me…ha 🙂
Thanks lynn, I understand what you mean.
the sempiternal epitome of all being…. oh my goodness… my head was dizzy a bit after reading…smiles… i like fuss pot a lot… my son you know was one as well..smiles
Thank you Claudia, glad to make you smile, such a prompt begs contrasting language.
Reminds me of my mother…
Not quite the jargon of multinationals, but probably quite a lot of psychological babble here… not to mention linguistic prowess.
Thank you Marina, babble is a good word to choose. Have a good weekend.
I like your mother’s straightforwardness- refreshing! The rest is gobbledy gook.
Very astute comment. Thanks for dropping by.
I guess, these ‘dulcet tones’ make the one’s company never boring one…
That is so true, thanks for dropping by.
“Communication zeroed out” – what a perfect description of management speak!
Thank you Bryan glad you thought so.
