Words to get lost in
Yours in particular
Rich metaphorical
Illusionary visions.
I watch them form before me
Knowing full well
You’ll weave a web
Into which I’ll gleefully step
Willingly ensnared
Happy to twist and turn.
Joyously I play
As meanings wrap round me.
I bask in the configurations
I imagine there to be
Romantic notions of love
Promises of futures unknown
Proclamations and commitments.
Political statements of conviction
Passion over the oppressed
Opinions expressed, delivered.
Nonsense, rhyme, simply words,
Randomly placed, thrown in the air
Shapes and sizes to fit all desires.

Yes, in general it is if I am in the mood to understand them.
Well I am happy I fit into that category.
You are a cold cider on a hot sunny day…..
Soothing? If so that’s nice.
Refreshing!
Oh you are such a flatterer.
Wonderful poem, I could see the words falling from the air where you tossed them. Words say much more than some realize.
Thanks Jackie sometimes they fall just where you intended and other times you surprise even yourself. Yes they can say more than we realise.
