We’d picked the best place with our taste buds bubbling.
So much expectation, we knew our order.
But in front was our dream in ashes.
Smouldering before our eyes, the chicken, the beef, the special lamb.
We couldn’t believe our eyes, our stomachs cried.

One should always have a plan B. Good one Michael. 🙂
Thanks Kat.
Been there, done that, drooling in anticipation only to find the place shut!
I fancied a chinese after my op in Oct 2016 but didn’t realise our favoured takeout was always closed on a Monday. Fosh and chips just ain’t the same when your heart’s set on crispy seaweed, prawn crackers, chicken fried rice, spring rolls, and sweet and sour chicken.
No, not the same is it?
No. Still, no washing up, so that counted for something!
Every time.
lol love it, well written!
Michael how about an interview for Meet the Bloggers, please?
I like your writing style and you have such a huge range … others would enjoy it too 🙂
Send me the questions
Thanks heaps …
I’ll email my responses to you.
yes thanks 🙂
One can only hope the second place mended your broken hearts. Lol
One hopes so.
