Here’s my entry for the new feature Dell Clover has introduced—“10 Words for Fun Friends”; Words—banjo, fiddles, skies, blast, dance, slack, sanctuary, tower, brother, breath:
Uncle plays banjo
Sister May prefers to fiddle
Brother sings with harmonic clarity
The church hall the venue
The monthly dance a blast.
Nightly skies a romantic backdrop
A sanctuary for secret lovers
To take a breath between kisses
Should slack towns folk
Look upon them from their ivory towers.

You did a most marvelous job, Michael–and I’m SO pleased you joined in, makes it all much more fun!!! Yaaayyy!
Thank you Dell I just can’t turn down a chance to play with some words….
Me too, Michael–must be like drugs, for other people…
I loved this, Michael. Where I grew up, this kind of gathering wasn’t an uncommon event. Almost from the beginning of the post I could hear Johnny Cash: ♫ Daddy sang bass, Mama sang tenor…♫ Fun post 😀
Yes Mandy we had similar old time dances around here as well, thanks for stopping by.
This is a wonderful and fun post – enjoyable to the sound of fiddles and banjos playing in my mind 🙂
Thanks MJ, then again you could thank the prompt, how else might I use a banjo I wonder…..l like having you stop by….
Well — if banjo came up more often in prompts and such – or if we – especially you – with such creativity flowing rapidly in your veins – could weave it in – even as an interjection – oh the fun we could have.
Spritely this indeed! Perhaps fairies play banjos?
Hmm now that’s a wicked thought….banjos and fairies…..I can’t quite see my fairies doing a hoedown though…..square dance maybe…..
square dancing or perhaps – it would be a new form – hexagonal or octagonal? I’m sure your mind could weave, with the fairies consent of course, a wonderful tale XD
