This week’s prompt is to make up the conversation that is occurring below.
It’s the fifth race that’s got me stumped.
Not a winner amongst them
Well the winner is there.
Yes but which one?
It’s a hard game.
It certainly is.
Julia’s Beauty went well last week.
As did Grown Up.
What about Word Challenge?
Not a chance.
I think I’ll have a bet each way on Julia.
That’s playing it safe.
Better than loosing my shirt again.
True.
Yes. You got twenty bucks I can borrow?
You already owe me forty.
Double or nothing?
What the heck lets give it a go.
Go Julia go you good thing go!!

A new challenge. Oh Boy!
DJ
it is indeed. Thanks DJ.
I so enjoy your conversations:) so vivid and real!
Thank you Cheryl-Lynn. They are fun to write.
It shows you were a drama teacher:)
Yes well you do a lot of talking in that job, and even more laughing.
That was so real. I could completely believe it actually happened. Even with a horse named “Word Challenge.” I think there’s an random “a” in front of “about Word Challenge”
Thank you Madam Editor, I appreciate you spotting that. Fixed. My dad had a bet every Saturday and his favourite saying was ‘Its a hard game.’
My aunt always had a flutter on the horses too. She and my Nan lived at Randwick, so I suppose it was only natural 🙂
Oh yes right there most Saturdays….

Nice spin on the challenge! Very cool!
Thank you Lea, glad you thought so.
😀 😀 😀
What a delightful conversation. I bet he loses again. Has to take a chance I suppose.
Thank you Tess, well as is said in the conversation, ‘Its a hard game.’
If it were easy the gambling out would be giving away money left and right and go broke. 😀 😀 😀 The deck is stacked in their favor.
That’s right you aren’t meant to win
😀 😀 😀
That’s why I stay away from gambling. I’m a sore loser.
